The Master of Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Trisakti held a company visit to PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur, Tbk (Bogasari Division).

The Master of Management Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Trisakti University, held a company visit to PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur, Tbk (Bogasari Division) at its East Jakarta factory on April 30, 2025, attended by faculty and students.

The event included an introduction from PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur, Tbk (Bogasari Division), a presentation on sustainability management at the Bogasari factory, a visit to the bread and pasta factory, and a guided tour of PT. Indofood Sukses Makmur, Tbk (Bogasari Division)’s waste management.

The purpose of this company visit was to provide students with an understanding of sustainability processes within Indonesian food companies, enabling them to understand the business processes involved, including import and export processes, trade mechanisms, and other functions involved in maintaining sustainability.

From the visit, we learned that Bogasari is a leading company in its field. The company has a deep understanding of its field and understands the solutions needed to address existing problems. This is a solution to address the problem of mixed flour caused by fraudulent bulk flour sellers.

Each PT Bogasari factory has its own port because their ships import wheat from overseas, such as Australia, China, and the United States. The wheat is removed from the ships using suction and blower machines, then magnetic devices are used to separate unwanted materials, such as metals, from the flour. The milling process then proceeds to achieve the desired flour consistency and is processed according to each flour type.

Students can implement theory in a real-world context. By directly observing the processes and operations at the Indonesian Stock Exchange (BEI), students can apply the theory they have learned in a real-world context. This helps enhance their practical understanding of the concepts taught in class.
