The Human Resources Concentration is a concentration that focuses on deepening and implementing HR management functions in facing competitive challenges; strategic HR management, equal employment opportunity & job safety, and job analysis; HR management planning, employee recruitment & selection processes, and effective training programs; performance management processes, employee development programs, and termination of employment; equity theories of pay structures, pay-for-performance programs, and structuring effective employee benefit programs; relations with trade unions, and managing employees in a global context, and increasing the effectiveness of HR management. The learning concept applied is a case study and case analysis of the company’s HR management.

COMPULSORY CONCENTRATION COURSES:

HUMAN CAPITAL MANAGEMENT RESEARCH/HUMAN CAPITAL MANAGEMENT RESEARCH (3 SKS)

This course aims to prepare students to write a thesis by training them to be able to conduct or evaluate research, especially in the field of Human Resource Management. The theoretical component of this course is to introduce the philosophy of quantitative and qualitative research and provide a broad understanding of data processing methods, how to interpret the results of data processing to techniques for preparing research reports in the field of Human Resource Management. The practical component is developing skills in reading and writing research and critical thinking, problem definition, data collection and data analysis.

ORGANIZATIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND CHANGE (3 SKS)

This course focuses on deepening and implementing organizational development and change. This course will give students the ability to: analyze organizational development as a whole, formulate planning for organizational change, formulate a process for planning change, implement each stage in the process, understand and implement forms of intervention.

HUMAN CAPITAL PERFORMANCE/HUMAN CAPITAL PERFORMANCE (3 SKS)

This course focuses on the importance of the role of performance management in organizations, both small and large scale organizations, profit and non-profit oriented organizations, domestic and global organizations and for all industries. Knowledge related to performance management is multidisciplinary. Discussions range from the micro level which focuses on individuals and teams (organizational behavior and human capital management) to the macro level which addresses the organization as a whole (strategic management).

MANAGING INDUSTRIAL WORK RELATIONS/MANAGING INDUSTRIAL RELATIONS (3 Credit Points)

This course aims to provide students with an understanding of the meaning, history and philosophy of industrial relations, processes and mechanisms for the occurrence of relations, as well as aspects of industrial relations such as: working relations, work norms, working conditions, working conditions, social security and labor welfare, labor organizations, occupational safety and health, industrial relations disputes.

STRATEGIC HUMAN RESOURCES AND TALENT MANAGEMENT (3 SKS)

This course provides an understanding of HR management and talent pool through analysis and evaluation of planning strategies and HRM functions. This course will provide students with the ability to conduct HR research, and analyze how companies can create work engagement, organizational support, employee performance, competency level, talent pool and then analyze the need for talent in every part of the job.
