Thesis
The thesis is an academic paper resulting from independent research which is written and arranged systematically based on the scientific method either through inductive research or deductive research conducted by students under the supervision of their supervisor. Writing a thesis is one of the requirements for the final study assignment that must be tested in order to obtain a Master of Management degree.
Every student who will make a thesis as one of the requirements for obtaining a Master of Management degree must follow several conditions:
THESIS PROPOSAL
To be able to submit a Thesis Proposal, students must fulfill:
- Administrative requirements, namely: have re-registered as a student in the semester concerned
- Academic requirements: a. Have completed a minimum of 30 credits of study (for regular classes) and 36 credits of special classes with a minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.25 by attaching a Study Result Card (KHS). b. Pass the research course according to the concentration. Obtain a minimum grade of B in all subjects. Has attended a thesis proposal seminar
- Students can choose a thesis supervisor with a quota of 6 lecturers per semester
THESIS GUIDANCE
- The thesis mentoring process can begin after Form 004 is signed by the Head of the Study Program.
- Students must actively follow regular guidance from the supervisor.
- Students will be given a Thesis Guidance Card (Form 005) to monitor the implementation of consultations and verify the progress of research and writing results in a systematic and continuous manner
THESIS EXAMINATION
Students who will take the Thesis Examination must first:
- Participate in the Thesis Proposal Seminar and Thesis Results Seminar and get a certificate
- Completed Academic Administration and Finance.
- Has obtained a Grade Point Average (GPA)³3.25 by attaching a Study Result Card (KHS).
- Fill out the Thesis Exam Registration form (form 006) which has been signed by the supervisor.
- Submit the plagiarism/similarity test results form with a maximum of 20% from the FEB Library
- Submit 4 (four) copies of thesis materials packaged in a snellhelter to be tested to the Secretariat.
IMPLEMENTATION OF THESIS EXAMINATION
Arrive at least 15 minutes before the exam starts.
- Wearing complete civilian clothes (PSL) for men; or blazer clothes for women.
- Prepare files and presentation materials for thesis for: a. Research Backgroundb. Formulation of Research Problemsc. Research Objectives d. Conceptual Framework. hypothesis. Research Methodologyg. Research Results and Discussion. Conclusion and Implications
- Record all suggestions for improvement from the Thesis Examiner Team which will be used to improve thesis writing. Notes on suggestions for improvement must be signed by the Thesis Examination Team and the student concerned.
THESIS EXAMINATION RESULTS
The results of the thesis examination can be categorized as follows:
- Pass without improvement. Students who pass the exam without improvement are required to report themselves to the Study Program for graduation registration and thesis binding.
- Pass with revision. Students who pass the thesis exam with revision are required to correct their thesis within the time determined by the Board of Examiners with the guidance of the Supervisor. The thesis revision is declared complete after being approved by the Supervisor and then reported to the Secretary of the Study Program for binding.
THESIS FINAL DRAFT SUBMISSION
- The thesis that has been refined in accordance with the decisions and suggestions for improvement from the thesis examination committee must obtain prior approval from the Supervisor.
- Submission of the final draft must be accompanied by Form 012 as proof that the thesis has been approved for duplication.
- Each student is required to submit 1 (one) copy of the thesis which has been bound and a soft copy in the form of a compact disk (CD) to the FEB Library no later than before the judiciary session (the time will be determined by the Study Program).
- The thesis is bound with a maroon cover and gold ink according to the rules that apply in the MM FEB Program.
PUBLICATION OF SCIENTIFIC WORKS
- Besides being required to complete lectures and theses, all master program students are obliged to publish in accredited national scientific journals or international journals.
- Students are required to have publications in accredited national journals at least SINTA 4 or Scopus/Web of Science indexed international proceedings, as main authors in Research courses according to concentration.
- The conditions for the publication of the thesis are as follows:
a. The publication topic is related to the student’s thesis or field of study.
b. Manuscripts to be published must obtain the approval of the supervisor. c. Publications made are joint publications of students and supervisors.
d. Inclusion of the order of the first author’s name is mandatory for students. Advisor as second name.
e. Students and lecturers who publish must include the MM FEB Program institution and the institution’s email.
