COURSES MANDATORY CONCENTRATION

RISET DAN EVALUASI PUBLIC RELATIONS/PUBLIC RELATIONS RESEARCH AND EVALUATION (3 SKS)

This course aims to prepare students to write a thesis at the Masters level and to train them to be able to conduct or evaluate a research as part of their career in communication management. The theoretical component of this course is to introduce the philosophy of quantitative and qualitative research and provide a broad understanding of basic research methods. The practical components are developing reading and writing research skills as well as critical thinking, problem definition, data collection and data analysis.

PENERAPAN TEORI KOMUNIKASI/APPLIED COMMUNICATION THEORY (3 SKS)

This course provides students with an understanding of: Types of theory starting from a contextual perspective, interpersonal communication theory, group communication theory, the influence of mass communication on individuals, the influence of mass communication on society and culture, audiences and their effects on mass communication, and organizational communication. from a theoretical perspective.

PUBLIC RELATIONS STRATEGI/STRATEGIC PUBLIC RELATIONS MANAGEMENT (3 SKS)

This course provides students with an understanding of: PR a strategic management function, PR in organizational context, Positioning PR in organizational management, Budgeting, Control and Evaluation, Latest trend of PR development, Strategic PR management in C-suite, PR in dominant coalition , and Case studies – PR in different organizations.

PERENCANAAN DAN PROGRAM PUBLIC RELATIONS/PR PLANNING AND PROGRAMMING (3 SKS)

This course provides a discussion of aspects of planning and implementation and management of public relations programs starting from planning steps, short-term and long-term public relations programs, organizing, introducing audiences, determining media, press relations and monitoring and evaluating the implementation of public relations in strategic management framework so that it will provide students with skills in managing public relations work programs well in business, profit and government organizations.

RESIKO, MASALAH DAN KRISIS MANAJEMEN/RISK, PROBLEMS AND MANAGEMENT CRISIS (3 SKS)

The course will describe various aspects related to problem identification, risk and crisis management. In this course, students will be oriented towards achieving systematic, comprehensive and critical thinking in applying management concepts, initial identification and organized reaction in influencing the public policy process. proactive, anticipatory and planned risk management designed to influence the development of a risk before it progresses to a stage that requires crisis management
